Repurposed lightboxes, LEDs, custom programming.

I bought a few nameless brands of lightboxes on Amazon, assuming they’d all come from the same factory in China and be identical. While they had identical dimensions, they were different in significant ways: where the battery housing was located, what kind of switches and wiring were used, screws or pressure fits, tape or adhesive.

I find it amazing that there are dozens of companies out there trying to make the exact same thing, all in a race to the bottom, cranking out the cheapest product possible, just to make a quick buck in a niche market. Capitalism!
