Entanglement Harvesting

Acrylic on paper, 28 x 35” framed.

Entanglement Harvesting is a series of paintings created with a robotic pen plotter. The robot follows instructions produced by a generative algorithm that creates a unique output each time it runs.

The algorithm I wrote for this series gradually manipulates hundreds of layered hexagons, expanding the space between lines as they approach the canvas’ center. Flowing biomorphic forms transform into precise geometric structures.

It’s as if we’re teasing apart the threads of a magic trick, discovering the hard edges and machine precision hidden beneath the surface. These pieces prompt the viewer to question whether we are observing a natural process or an artificial imitation.
